This is The Iron Horse. It is so named because the mechanism resembles a train's drive wheels. It's a pen that was hand-turned and made of red oak burl with whitetail deer antler accents. It accepts Parker pen ink refills. They are inexpensive and widely-available. The ink is black and the pen is awesome. This pen is beefy and heavy.
As always, the wood was responsibly sourced from fallen timber. The deer antler was a shed that was found not far from the mill. Nobody got hurt and the planet still breathes.
**The handmade pens are just that. Made by hand. One at a time. On a lathe. By a guy. Because they are made by hand, they are also completely unique. The one that you receive and cherish will be slightly different than the one that is pictured. It will also be a little different from the one that you order for your dad. And Uncle Billy. (Billy's going to love this!)
